SUMMARY:3 Million
DESCRIPTION:3 𝙈𝙞𝙡𝙡𝙞𝙤𝙣 by 𝗥𝘆𝘁𝘀 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘁 reflects on the legacy of the Cold War\, focusing on Southeast Asia\, particularly Vietnam\, where one of the longest and most devastating conflicts of the 20th century claimed three million lives. Marking fifty years since the war’s end\, the artist traveled to Ho Chi Minh City\, the site of the war’s conclusion\, to create a project to commemorate the victims of war through a traditional funeral ritual. \nAccompanied by other works\, the exhibition transforms the space into a contemplative environment\, bridging memory and spirituality. It is presented within the framework of the Creative Europe project (𝘐𝘯)𝘝𝘪𝘴𝘪𝘣𝘭𝘦 𝘛𝘳𝘢𝘤𝘦𝘴: 𝘈𝘳𝘵𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘤 𝘔𝘦𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘊𝘰𝘭𝘥 𝘞𝘢𝘳\, highlighting how art can engage with historical memory and explore alternative geopolitical narratives. \nThe exhibition invites audiences to reconsider Cold War histories from a Southeast Asian perspective\, exploring how memory\, identity\, and geopolitics remain intertwined today. \n𝗣𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗰 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺:\n𝙍𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙙 𝙏𝙖𝙗𝙡𝙚 𝘿𝙞𝙨𝙘𝙪𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙤𝙣 – 𝙏𝙧𝙖𝙘𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝘾𝙤𝙡𝙙 𝙒𝙖𝙧: 𝘼𝙧𝙩\, 𝙃𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙩𝙖𝙜𝙚\, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙈𝙚𝙢𝙤𝙧𝙮\nThursday\, November 13\, 2025\, 6 pm\nDAS WEISSE HAUS\, first floor \nFeaturing 𝗥𝘆𝘁𝘀 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘁 and art historian 𝗞𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗶𝗻 𝗛𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗵\, moderated by 𝗝𝗮𝗻𝗮 𝗗𝗼𝗹𝗲č𝗸𝗶\, with an introduction by 𝗡𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝗮 𝗝𝗮𝗻𝗸𝗼𝘃𝗶ć.
