DESCRIPTION:A discussion will follow after the screening. \nThe results of last weeks European elections left a loud echo\, although the political balances in Europe didn’t change much. The majority of the newly elected parliament consists of the same parties that have not only caused this crisis\, but are also responsible for the disastrous politics that are leading to the pauperization of the peoples of Europe\, the demolition of social state\, the abolishment of labor rights\, the criminalization of social struggles and movements. While the gates of Europe are opening for neoliberalism\, the capital has placed its thugs across the continent. Europe is experiencing an immense rise of far right parties; from neonazi Golden Dawn\, the Right Sector in Ucraine and the NPD in Germany\, to the Front National and the austrian FPÖ\, fascism and nationalism are just changing costumes. All of them have found fertile ground for their propaganda of hatred and intolerance\, in a „Union“ already handicaped and plugued by austerity politics. Their populistic rhetoric appears appealing to increasing numbers of people\, but as the documentary Fascism INC outlines\, the initial role of these populist fascistic parties across time and space is in fact against the peoples. They only serve the interests of the capital and are actually an integral part of the capitalistic system. \nThese elections also show though that our struggles are not in vain! Movements and left parties are becoming stronger and claim their position on the political map\, changing the society itself. During these difficult times and the ones that are yet to come\, we stand in solidarity! \nSome words from the creators: \nGiven that fascism is not limited to Golden Dawn but is also promulgated by politicians\, entrepreneurs and publishers…\nGiven that the crisis conditions that foster fascism are upon us\, not past us…\nGiven that the whole of Europe is sinking rapidly into the darkness of the far right… \nDebtocracy and Catastroika’s production team steps into the discussion with another documentary. \nThis time we will present to you unknown short stories from the past\, the present and the future of fascism and its relation to the economic interests of each era.
