DESCRIPTION:An Introduction to TouchDesigner: how to combine music and light \nAre you interested in the intersection of sound and light? Do you want to discover how to transform audio impulses into real-time light effects? Das LOT is hosting an immersive two day workshop dedicated to that! It will be a highly practical laboratory based on Das LOT light system that will give you the possibility to learn the basic use of TouchDesigner and do some try-outs using the professional set up of the venue. \nWhat You Will Learn: \nThe workshop has a practical approach and is structured in two 4-hour sessions (8 hours total): \nDAY 1 🕒 14:00 – 18:30 \n    Introduction to multimedia art and its tools\, algorithmic and interactive approach through case studies. \n    Basics of TouchDesigner. \n    Collective Hands-on: Group development of a mini-project applying the day’s topics. \nDAY 2 🕛 10:30 – 15:00 \n    How to build audio-reactive algorithms. \n    Collective Hands-on: Building audio-reactive patches for light animations and light design. \n    Introduction practical application of MediaPipe. \nWho It Is For and Requirements:\nThis is an entry-level experience. No advanced prior knowledge is required! 🙂 All hands-on moments are designed to be collective\, meaning the entire group will work together on different tasks. \nWhat to bring: Participants are required to bring their own laptop. We will soon provide a list of software and extensions to install prior to the workshop. \nIf you’re an artist/  musician/ DJ or just interested in adding some light dramaturgy to your events this is the right workshop for you!
