SUMMARY:Workshop mit Denice Bourbon (PCCC*)
DESCRIPTION:There is no better feeling than when you manage to make people laugh. Und es gibts nichts schwierigeres\, als auf Bestellung lustig zu sein. \nHow can I find a good rhythm for my jokes and tell stories that get to the point before my audience falls asleep? When should I improvise and when should I stick to the script? Und vor allem; wie mache ich Witze die nicht verletzend oder diskriminierend sind? \nComedy is a great way to get political messages through\, and comedy can be an amazing healing tool; imagine a room full of people laughing about everyday absurdities that we recognize together without the feeling that we are being made fun of by the person on stage. \nStand up comedy has for decades been used mainly by white straight men who have been making fun of women* and queers\, and who have been reproducing racist and other offensive stereotypes to get a quick and easy laugh at the expense of others. But those days are over! \nThis workshop will take a look at how to do politically correct comedy\, because it’s only funny if everybody can laugh! \nEgal ob du auf der Bühne\, in deinem Arbeitsleben oder einfach privat auf die nächste Party gute Geschichten erzählen möchtest; how to tell a joke is always a great skill to have! \nWe will look at how Stand Up Comedy differs from Kabarett\, talk about set writing\, different comedy styles and how body language works\, learn a little about microphone technique and much much more. \nIf you are hesitant and nervous about interacting in a group\, you are also welcome to just come and listen in. Nobody will be forced to actively participate! The workshop will be held in both English and auf Deutsch (wir werden uns aneinander anpassen) and is open to everybody who has an interest in the art of Stand Up Comedy! \nDenice Bourbon has been using comedy as a political survival tool for as long as she can remember. In 2016 she founded PCCC* (the Politically Correct Comedy Club) together with Josef Jöchl\, where they have invited both professional and first time performers to join them on stage for a night of queer comedy. Hosted by Denice Bourbon und Josef Jöchl. \nFoto © Ari Yehudit Richter \n
