Revolving around personal narratives, the anxiety of becoming irrelevant, the role of the body, and the authority of value, the exhibition asks what it means to stand on the edge between failure and success, and what it takes to pierce through to the other side. 3 𝙈𝙞𝙡𝙡𝙞𝙤𝙣 by 𝗥𝘆𝘁𝘀 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘁 reflects on the legacy of the Cold War, focusing on Southeast Asia, particularly Vietnam, where one of the longest and most devastating conflicts of the 20th century claimed three million lives. Marking fifty years since the war’s end, the artist traveled to Ho Chi Minh City, the site of the war’s conclusion, to create a project to commemorate the victims of war through a traditional funeral ritual.
